- Montpellier Zoological Parkat 31 minutes by car, 1150 animals about on 60 hectares
- African Sigean Reserve 1 hr. 21 min. by car, more than 3,800 animals in semi-liberty on nearly 300 hectares of land
History and culture
- Ramparts of Aigues Mortes 13 min. by car, in the heart of the Camargue, between beaches and vineyards, walk around the city of Saint Louis, its ramparts and enjoy the splendid views over the city, the pond, the salt marshes, the vineyards…
- Maguelone Cathedral 28 min. by car, 4km from Palavas, in the middle of the ponds, near the sea, a cathedral, a masterpiece of Romanesque art.
- Gallo-Roman Archaeological Site of Ambrussum : a Gallic Oppidum dating from the 4th century BC and the sumptuous paved road built in Roman times.
- Grotte de Clamouse (Clamouse Cave), a site classified by the French Ministry of Ecology and Sustainable Development, is a must for tourists in the heart of the Hérault Gorges, 58 minutes away by car.
- Grotte des Demoiselles (Ladies’ Cave) 1 hour by car, the grotte des Demoiselles is located in the Upper Hérault valley in the heart of Languedoc Roussillon, between the Cévennes and the Mediterranean Sea.
Natural areas
- Ponant Aventure The adventure park in the forest of La Grande Motte at 5 min. from the beach, 5 courses composed of more than 120 playful and varied workshops such as: zip lines, bridges, tarzan jumps, nets, footbridges, flying lianas…
- Horseback riding: Abrivado Ranch, the most beautiful sandy beach in the Languedoc is waiting for you on horseback. The stable of the dunes at 10 min. by car, beautiful walks on the beach of Espiguette while crossing the marshes and dunes. Les Arnelles Equestrian Centre at 38 min. by car, horse riding all around the Camargue, Les Saintes Maries de la Mer, in the Natural Park and its reserve.
- Ornithological Park Pont de Gau 39 min. by car, a walk on 60 hectares of natural spaces dedicated to the discovery of the wild fauna and flora of the Camargue.
- Pic St Loup At 56 min. by car, north of Montpellier, a magnificent natural belvedere overlooking the Cevennes and the Mediterranean Sea from its 658 m
Tradition and land
- Sète 55 minutes by car, discover the singular island, the Venice of Languedoc with its market and its halls, its traditions (jousts), its poets and its port with an exceptional panorama.
- Salins du midi : Discover the white gold, the fauna, the flora and the work of a saunier on more than 11,800 hectares.
- Thau Lagoon At 58 min. by car, at the foot of Mont St Clair, this shellfish pond feeds Sète, Balaruc les Bains, Bouzigues, Mèze and Marseillan.
